How Migrating Corrosion Inhibitors Work

The three chemical elements within our Margel products are emitted as a vapour that will saturate a given airspace, this vapour will form a mono-molecular coating on both exposed and embedded steel.

In testing we have identified the chemical layer that bonds to the surface of the steel using electron scanning microscope

QED's Margel 580, when installed into concrete is proven to travel easily through the pore structure to coat embedded steel reinforcement. This eliminates corrosion stopping structural damage and further spalling.
