 VPI 580 - MargelTM
Corrosion Inhibitor
Widely used in the concrete repair industry, VPI580 or MargelTM (trade name) is a multi-part corrosion inhibitor providing a quick release vapour inhibitor and other slower release compounds. These provide a broad spectrum of protection, both short and long-term for steel rebar's, with a life of up to 15 years depending on installation conditions. In the construction industry this has been used successfully on a large number of renovation projects, such as bridge renovation, office blocks, car parks, listed buildings and residential (PRC) housing. Typically this is installed from the exterior of a building by drilling small holes, inserting the capsules and sealing. Very importantly, this negates the need for the existing surface/coating to be removed, saving both time and money whilst avoiding many of the important environmental problems associated with other systems. The installed corrosion inhibitor will migrate from the capsule through the concrete structure as a vapour and chemically bond to the embedded steel providing long-term and highly effective anti-corrosion benefits. It is important to note that this will not reverse corrosion in steel, but will stop it from further corrosion.

QED's AC Primer and Epoxy Lock WDE are our advanced non-volatile steel coating system which are based on Water Dispersed Epoxy. Giving long lasting anti-corrosion protection to steel in all conditions whilst being friendly to the applicators. Typically this market was dominated by products based on Solvent technology, our products are zero VOC, allowing use in enclosed spaces and providing many benefits over solvent based systems.
CrystalCoat - Cementitious crystalline waterproof coating for concrete
CrystalCoat consists of active, non soluble, non toxic, waterproof chemicals contained in a cementitious carrier that crystallizes in the presence of water and free lime in the concrete. Provides a penetrating sealer to seal capillary and hairline cracks. Available in both grey and white.

Bondcure - Combination acrylic primer and curing compound
High performance acrylic emulsion bonding agent and curing compound, specifically developed for use with the QED Concrete Repair System. It can also be used as a stand alone permanent curing compound and alkali resistant primer on cement based renders and plasters prior to applying paint systems. The product is also used as a sealer coat/bonding agent for Natural Stone tiles.
EpoxyBond - Epoxy bonding agent for fresh concrete
Used to bond fresh concrete to hardened concrete or steel. Solvent free epoxy resin containing acid resistant fillers.
GalZinc - Single component zinc rich anti corrosion primer
Use as an anti-corrosion primer for reinforcing steel to extend the life of repairs made to reinforced concrete.
Latex - Multi-purpose primer and mortar additive
This is a styrene butadiene rubber latex used to improve the mechanical and waterproofing properties of sand cement based renders, screeds and mortars. Can be used in immersed conditions.
Primer AR - Alkali resistant primer for concrete
Water based sealing and penetrating alkali resistant primer. It can be applied to concrete, renders, plasterboard and cement boards.
Resiloc E - Epoxy acrylate anchor grout cartridge system
Resiloc E is used for general purpose horizontal, vertical and overhead anchoring in rock, concrete, brick and solid masonry. Fast setting grout can be applied under water. Cost effective alternative to Hilti, Fischer etc..
FlamSteel W120 - fire retarding intumescent steel protection
Very high performance intumescent paint. Provides up to 120 minutes fire protection to structural steel certified to BS476 part 21. Water dispersed, primerless and very low voc.
X-Seal 3C AF - Cold Caulking Cord
A unique cold caulking cord supplied as a ready to use cord. The product is dampened, packed into the joint and tightly consolidated with a hammer and caulking tool to form a solid pressure resistant joint. The fibre reinforcement enables the joint to withstand hydrostatic pressure immediately the product is compacted. A compatible product to PC4 AF.
